Honestly, it just reminds me of the Swedish chef from The Muppets. The 80's rocked

So, this departs far from the original scope of bidding adieu to Chuck, but near as I can tell, BORK is an acronym variant of BOTL, based on the leftmost adjacent keys to 't' and 'l' on the QWERTY keyboard. With its origins most likely due to a human typing fast and/or the dubious contributions of autocorrect; interestingly it does not seem to apply to all the letters, and completely wash out as VIRK. Seems that only the last two letters are jacked up.

VIRK, BORK, or BOTL, they all mean one thing -- a term for a human which belongs to this brotherhood of the leaf.

Correct, Jay. It was originally an auto-correct.

Charlie is only partially right ..... Auto correct had nothing to do with the birth of BORK ....... BORK was born from BOTL's wielding fat fingers whom accidentally struck an R instead of a T and a K in lieu of L ........ And the legend of the fat fingered BOTL was born ...... Aka BORK

Back in the day, it was a great honor to be referred to as a "BORK". It means that you had been accepted into the "clan". Sounds goofy, but its just one of those things that made up the "Brotherhood". Its a tribute to all of the guys from the past.......

And the Brother who did it, IIRC, was a great guy with the forum moniker of Enfidl. He hasn't been seen around these parts for a c o o n's age I'm sad to say.....  :(

Can you believe this stupid censoring BS edited out the word c o o n?  I am completely baffled regarding the mentality of the idiot who compiled the list of 'no-no' words.  B)

    Great to know, fellas.

Marty, sounds like a bombing run on Enfidel might be in order? Bring him out of hiding? Always tough on the chance he may have moved...

Oh that's even funnier. I thought I read somewhere that it was an auto correct. My bad.

One legend leaves and another returns. Sad to see Chuck go, but it is nice to see the ramblings of The Bear return! We missed you in Chicago this year @greg2648. Which reminds me, I still need to find a box of those Trinidad Robustos you shared with me last time I saw you. Man, that was a good stick.

When I first joined here, one of the first bombing runs I got to be part of was a sneak attack, poke the bear assault on @greg2648orchestrated by @Rain

Wow. Sorry to hear about Susan's cancer, but glad she's doing well. Life has a way of teaching us perspective. All the best to you both.

Re Bork history: here is the original thread from what seemed like yesterday, in the which enfidl mistyped then good old sandmanIam encourages the typo to stand as a term of endearment for com botls.  It was cHolmes who suggested it was a fat fingered mistake..but if u knew enfidl, u know that the skinny guy hasn't much fat anywhere. Last we heard from him he was gonna b repping a boutique blend. http://forum.cigar.com/discussion/comment/169140#Comment_169140
