May the Lord bless you and keep you, May the Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious to you, May the Lord turn his continence to you, and bring you peace...
Me and mine and praying for you. Just reach out to us if you need anything.

Sorry to hear this Todd, we all wish you and your family the best.

"The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness." (Isaiah 57:1-2)
So sorry to read this sad news, Todd. May your dad be kept free from pain and taken quickly to the place where there are no tears or suffering. Praying for you all, brother!

That's hard, Todd, so sorry to hear this. We just went through hospice with my FIL and we were able to get him back to his home for Thanksgiving where he loved to be, surrounded by family. My prayers are with you and your family.

In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
Very sorry Todd. I went through something similar with my dad. I work second shift and I have a baby so I never sleep feel free to pm me if you want my number. I've got an ear and am around if you need anything. Thoughts are with you and your family.

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. The prayers worked as my father passed at 3:18 this morning very peacefully. He was sent home to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his wife and 3 sons. While we are sad we know he is in a better place and are happy for him. There will be no more pain nor suffering nor discomfort, only happiness.
It is still surreal that it was only 15 days ago that he went to the doctor and now is no longer with us. My pops and I ended every phone call or departure with an "I love you" but that only started as he got older. I think it's time to make sure those that I love hear those words everytime as you never know when you will see or talk to them again.
Sorry for your loss, Todd, but relieved that the Lord took your dad quickly as you hoped. This life is a fragile thing, and we too easily get wrapped up in vain distractions that keep us from focusing on the things - or rather, the people - that matter most. I'll be praying now for you and your family as you grieve and move forward. God bless you, brother.
