Stay as far away from there as possible.... That is all

    Wish I could. It's a business trip and I don't have a choice.

Don't know any cigar lounges, but as a general rule don't be out past twilight. Listen to Nick, a dangerous place if you are not in the right neighborhood.

Last year, I was at a soccer match and stayed late into the night for an afterparty at the Red Bull Arena. LEO saw me leaving the stadium at around 1:00am and personally escorted me to my car and followed me out out the stadium parking lot.

    Just be smart and safe!

Mane St Cigars in Woodbridge, NJ is my weekend spot. It's about a 15 min drive from Newark and much safer.

A little further north is JR Cigars. Huge humidor which is their warehouse. About 40 mins north of Newark.

Edit: Just remembered the town name. Paramus.

If you get a few hours, take the train into Manhattan and go to Nat Sherman's or Davidoff.  Easy Peasy and it gets you out of Newark.

Nat Sherman townhouse was great. Was there at the end of March. Will treat you like a king and prices are reasonable. Wall Street types were sitting in the leather lounge chairs enjoying a lunch time cigar. Showed up in my jeans and Yankee sweatshirt and they made me feel right at home. Try the Nat Sherman Timeless box pressed. Awesome.

If you can get there, Check out Jamie's in Clifton.  Pretty good food and you can smoke at the table.  JRs is a good option too.  Used to be there at least once a week.  Now more like once every 2 months.

As it turned out, we had no time for exploring the local hangouts. Had to content myself with smoking on the hotel patio.
