Homemade Cigar Journal

So while I had some downtime at work due to some system issues today, I came across and old handmade red leather journal that I had only used a few pages out of. I had been wanting something handheld and not electronic to take some tastings notes of cigars in. I've been doing this long enough that everything is starting to kind meld together in my mind and I don't distinctly recall favors for many cigars. I'm not planning on doing detailed reviews, more like simple notes with the band glued next to the name of the cigar for quick reference.

To to make things neat and organized I did this with alphabetized tabs that I handmade and glued into the journal one at a time. So, whaddya y'all think?

I will ill start it off tonight with the La Barba that Dennis sent me, this beauty :)

Looks great! Are the pages in the journal blank or do you have a layout for how you want your reviews to be written down?

Great Idea! @90+_Irishman I'm at that point too that I'm starting to get cigars mixed up.

Think this will be my next project :)

Thanks @WaterNerd, I was tired of not being able to remember anything more than one or two notes of a cigar and whether I liked it or not, so I figured this would be a good way to remedy that :)

I like the general categories you have... it might be time to start doing this myself too. I should have started when I first got into cigars... but my palate wasn't ready to be critical of smokes.

Yeah, I should have done that too.

Oh wait, I'm too lazy to do that. What am I talking about?  :D

LOL its all good doesn't have to be fancy or simple, just has to work for you! And yes, to create the habit will take some work which is what I am doing right now, but once the habit is made its no longer work as it comes second nature. That is why I am working to build the habit so that it isn't always work to do this ;)
