I have smoked a couple of Nub camaroons now and really like them. I really wish I could get that same smoke in a robusto or double corona.
Is there a REALLY close equivalent?

Torano Salutem - cameroon filler
RP Vintage 03 cameroon
Partagas Decadas - good luck finding
Partagas 150 -$80-$100 per - good luck finding
Partagas 160 - $30 - $60 per - good luck finding
Partagas 170
CAO CX2
AF Hemingway
AF Don Carlos #4
LFD Cameroon Cabinet
Oliva Series G
AKA Hybrid
Upmann Vintage Cameroon
Partagas - Domestic
Cohiba - Domestic
I know I didn't mention La Aurora, but their blend is a bit sharper than I like.
Of these, the Partagas, Cohiba and Upman are what I consider "sharp" cameroons.
Think of Sharp cheddar cheese.
The rest, I would consider "medium" or smooth.
The nub I would put in the medium category.
As for is there a close equivelant?
AKA Hybrid, 1916, Salutem and CX2 would probably be the closest, but remember that each of these blends are all slightly different.
Yes, they have cameroon wrappers, (with exception of the Salutem, which is cameroon filler), but they all may have different filler/binder blends.
Personally, the Nub is way down on my list of good cameroons, so you may or may not agree with the ones I like.
Edit: To clarify, the Nub is a good tasting cameroon. It gets put further down my list, because of the vitola, not because of the taste.
It is a large ring gauge and my preference is 50 or less lately.
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.

Life is too short to smoke bad cigars!!!
Oh when the Blues, Oh when the Blues, Oh when the Blues go marching in!
Hemingway and Oliva G kind of go without saying for me--because everyone should say Hemingway and I like Oliva. But other than that from Tony's list, the CX2 was one I enjoyed a lot. There's a couple on there I haven't tried but hope to, soon.
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.
Thanks again
Decernt cigars and usually the black pearl caan be found at aa good price.

Cohiba - Domestic
Kristoff
Excalibur
CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroon
AF God of Fire
Leccia White
Lattitude Zero
Nirvana
Cohiba and Excalibur, I would put in the sharp category.
The Kristoff, I should not have forgotten, as it is very good.
The CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroon is really good, but I like the CX2 myself.
The God of Fire is a great cigar, but expensive.
The Leccia white is probably one that I would rank towards the top of good of the list.
Lattitude Zero, Medium and it has Zero in the name. That makes it great right there.
Nirvana good medium cameroon, but on the high side for price. On deals, it's not a bad purchase.
As for which ones would be comparative to the Nub, I'd go with Kristoff, Leccia, and Nirvana
@peter4jc
They have the deal still on for the Nirvana and it's a pretty good deal.
I wish they would take the blasted time away from editting posts.

Partagas 170 robusto
Arturo Fuente Don Carlos #4
The Don Carlos #4 is one of my favorite cigars and you can't go wrong with them.
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
Because the New World Cameroon has taken my top spot and Partagas has the new Decadas and La Aurora has the 110th annicersary.
