My argument is that maybe rather than criticizing his actions we would be better served examining what he is protesting against and what possible solutions there may be.

Kap's 'issue' isnt anything new, has been an issue in this country for a long time, certainly was an issue just a few years ago when he was the QB in the super bowl with dozens of microphones recording every burp, never heard a peep about his 'issue' then. he got his big contract, how much money has he donated to organizations forging solutions? we only hear about his 'issue' when his skills have diminished and he is about to lose his job but he wants to stay in the news, what better way to stay relevant than to jump on the mainstream media's latest whipping boy

It is interesting to me what is considered "patriotic" these days and how quickly people voice their disdain for actions that don't fit their narrative of patriotism. You won't find me out in the street waving an American flag, but it doesn't mean I love my country any less than my neighbor. I would argue that bringing national attention by using whatever platform necessary to a very real societal dysfunction is quite patriotic.

When I was 16 some loonies bombed the UW Madison Math Building 75 miles from my home because they thought UW was doing research for the army and it was being used in Viet Nam. As a UW-Madison alum, I will categorically deny that the bombing of the math building was anything other than an act of terrorism.
However, one might argue that the UW Pail and Shovel Party's brilliant transfer of the Statue of Liberty to Lake Mendota was rather awe-inspiring...

I rarely have time for a cigar these days as most of my time and money is being spent raising a small child. I still look at the forum and enjoy the hobby vicariously though the posts here while the cigars in my humidor "age". I believe I'll have a cigar this Saturday. I might even post about it. Perhaps that would make my opinions more valid in these political threads on a cigar forum...
When my opinions are called bullshit and my credentials/contributions are questioned you can be damn sure I'm going to defend myself. The only projection of beliefs I see taking place in this thread is aimed at me. If you read the thread carefully, I think you'll see the same. Somehow we went from me supporting CK's protest to me being anti-cop, pro-Hillary, and anti 2nd-amendment without me mentioning any of the later issues.
