Serendipity ??

Got an email today from a couple who belong to our camping club. They were sharing the story of what happened to their grandson back on October 5. I'll try to condense it a bit but I'd like to pass it along. 

The grandson, Michael, and his dad, Jim, were attending a Trump rally in Reno on October 5. There might have been other family members there but that wasn't mentioned in the story. 

I'll just copy the story for you in the words of Michael's dad, Jim.. 

What an incredible day we had in Reno today at the Trump Rally. Michael drew a Portrait of our next President Donald J. Trump waiting for the rally to start. Michael was sitting on the floor with a disposable Bic Pen and his phone out with a picture of Mr. Trump. It started out where just the people around us were watching the Masterpiece appear before their eyes. Then a small crowd began to gather and next thing we know Mr. Trump's Campaign staff was all over it. They asked for all his info and said they wanted to get this to Mr. Trump. John Roberts from Fox NEWS came over and interviewed Michael and took some video of him at work. He was also interviewed by 2 Radio stations. The Trump people kept bring more staff over to see the Amazing Portrait. Seeing how it was going I decided to see if I could bring my Camera in (No detachable lens cameras are allowed in the rally) and was escorted by Trump's staff to get my camera and get back into the venue through the Media Entrance. When I got back with my camera Alex from the Trump Campaign told me they were working on getting Michael backstage to meet Mr. Trump and present him with the Portrait. The pictures below show Michael backstage and his meeting with Mr. Trump and his reaction. "That is AMAZING you drew this? WOW!" Staff runs over and tells him Michael did this while waiting for the rally. "You did this TODAY? Incredible! This is so incredible... Thank you."

We then got escorted to the VIP area for the Rally. Michael was first in line and closet to the stage of all the VIP's. We had been watching Mr. Trump giving his speech for about 15 mins. when another Trump staffer tapped Michael on the shoulder. He wanted him to come back stage again, while the rally was still going on. We followed the staffer Tony and he laughed and said bet your wonder what you did now.... We all laughed and he said your going to happy.. We go behind the curtains once again and Michael is introduced to Hope Hicks Trump's Communication Director. Hope was super nice and said Mr. Trump was impressed and they were going to use his Portrait in their Social Media Campaign. Then Tony said Hey you should do one of Mr. Trump and Hope. Hope blushed and said No No but yea that would be pretty cool. I told her she should have Michael paint one with Watercolors. She was excited and said the Campaign would be reaching out to Michael in the coming days. Like the entire election cycle you just can't make this **** up.... 

So, that's the story. Now I'm going to try posting the photos in a separate post because evidently the story is long and the photos must cause a problem when trying to fit it all in one post. I've tried three times without success so look for the next post.
