cigar lost its flavor?

LiquidChaos66LiquidChaos66 Posts: 3,767 ✭✭✭✭
So yesterday I lit up a H Upmann Banker. the first 1/3rd was pretty good! but after that it seemed like it lost all its flavor. I was drinking water with it (as I do with all my cigars) and hadn't had anything overpowering in the flavors department all day. Ideas?

I still have 3 other Bankers (different sizes) and an Ingot. it was kinda odd losing flavor so dramatically. not a deal breaker just was odd.

This right here. It didn't lose flavor, it just never had any to begin with :)

Did the cigar kind of taste like burning plant leaves? That can happen, you know.

It's a "Banker" they probably lost the flavor. Wait a few months and the Govt. will "Bale" it out.

I had a banker recently and I was surprised at the lack of flavor, even right at the beginning. the aroma was very nice, but it just didn't have any real  flavor to back it up.

Have one more to burn and see if it was me or the cigar. I'm leaning toward it just being a mediocre blend.

Back in high school, a bunch of us got so sick of this one guy's endless bad puns that we locked him in the paper cabinet, sticking I forget what thru the handles. He's in there pounding on the doors demanding we let him out. Told him we weren't letting him out until he made a pun on the sitch. He immediately replied "Oh, pun the door!"

We left him pounding on the doors.

The only Upmann I ever had that was worth a damn was a blend called Napa Estate. It came in tubos and I liked them quite well.

Then, after a while, they did a "Rocky Patel" and discontinued 'em. Oh, well....   :#

Ive got 3 more to try out and the Ingot as well... So ill see how those go. Worst case scenario ill let 2 of them sit in my humidor and move on for a while and revisit them

They get lighter while they age, if you don't taste them now send them to CFW.

That's not a bad idea... Ill give one more a run and see how I feel about them.

I thought CFW was having some legal issues after the tobacco laws changed...

No problem with donations from individuals, just cigar companies can't give out free cigars anymore.
