Son Colin took us out to dinner yesterday at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport KY which is on the south bank of the Ohio River across from Cincinnati.
Ordered:Knusprige Schweinehaxen**
(Available after 5 pm) Roasted crispy Pork Shank served with Sauerkraut, dark bier sauce & Potato Dumpling.
The shank covered the WHOLE plate. Had to be three or four pounds. Do enjoy that crispy skin. Couple of liters of Hofbrauhaus to wash it down with and of course needed some Apfel Strudel to clear the palette. Man, I'm still stuffed. Needless to say I have some leftovers. Doggy bag fit for a mastiff.

Good evening everyone! AF Charteau with a Vernor's. Taking Vali, Lily, and Tyena to Key West tomorrow morning for the rest of the week. Should be interesting.
