Vote up??? Uh,........ same thing as a "Like"?

Vote up? What is this, except another way of saying "like" on somebody's post? Or does it actually do something different? 

While your at it, gimme one each of them new buttons. Y'all cick for me me an Awesome and a WTF, and might as well gimme a vote-up. I ain't had any of them new ones yet and I need to try 'em all. And of course I'll take an insightful too, 'cause y'all know I'm pretty damn insightful. Right?

I NEED to be able to react to my own post sometimes. Can't a guy disagree with hisself ever now and then?

Up votes on other sites are usually tied to what posts appear at the top or at all, may be related to reports of "buried posts" I've read about on another thread. Doesn't sound good.
