I wasn't able to get any flavor from cigars for a while when I began because I'd draw the smoke into my cheeks and look like a pufferfish every time I smoked. It wasn't until recently that I learned how to properly smoke a cigar to get the full flavors from them.

Not knowing the difference between Cuban brands and General Cigars non-cuban ripoffs using the same name. Cohiba, H. Upmann, and Montecristo would be some examples.

First cigar? Inhaling. Treating it like a cigarette, wondering how anyone enjoys turning green. Had to watch a youtube video to figure it out. Had only smoked cigarettes and hookah before starting cigars.
Learning to trust myself above anyone else's opinions, reviews, or ratings. I've found $20 cigars that I hated and $3 cigars that I loved. Try everything once. Smoke what you enjoy. Anything else is just burning money.
