    That is Portillos Italian Beef Sandwiches. Great job @matkn293, @bert873, @Devildog1, and @Grawls
    Especially for making Nick think it was me and patrick. 

    Nick, Do Not, I repeat, Do Not over cook the meat. It literally just needs to get a little more than warm.

    I read a recipe, and a carne asada torta sounds about the same.

    Having had both, and enjoy both, I can tell you, that Italian Beef is not the same.  Get yo' azz out to Chi-town and you can judge for yo'self!   :D

    Italian beef is probably most similar to a beef au ju, but it is seasoned differently and tastes much better.  Chicago area staple since the 1960's.  Portillos is opening chains across the country now that they are owned by an investment group.  You may soon see one in your area one day.  Dig it!

    Having had Portillos, it is its own tastiness...yum!! Carne ain't quite the same meat set-up..
