Mid 70's in the day and mid 50's at night. Haven't had any measurable rain in two weeks. Watering the garden every day. Supposed to rain this coming weekend. Saving a Don Carlos from Patrick to celebrate the rain.

Back inside, sweating. It's 84 inside and 104 according to the sensor out on the patio, though the app on my phone says it's 94. Psyching myself up to smoking some drumsticks for dinner.

Drought finally breaking. It usually doesn't rain much July-Sept but this year was extra dry after a very wet spring. Had about 5 inches the last couple of weeks, three the last couple of days.

Back from camping at Mohawk State Forest, left a day early due to heavy rain and windy thunderstorms, Rachel hates driving in those conditions in the tall camper van.

It's been raining this morning, the sun is now coming out, but it's been raining a while, on and off. I'm glad of the rain and the forecast is clear for the rest of the week, I'm just hoping it doesn't rain while we're camping this weekend.

Well I have been reading the signs lately. The Wooly Worms I have seen predict a cold start to winter, a moderate middle and a cold spring. I've seen 8 or 9 with the same markings, black head and tail with a brown middle.
