Going back to work. Been gone a week and all the top management are going to be here this week. Going to feel like the end of the world.

Hopefully they'll be distracted by the eclipse.0 -

Tomorrow is my day off, so I will smoke cigars and drink beer.
If it is the end at least I will be doing what I enjoy.
Friends don't let good friends smoke cheap cigars.2 -
Be careful as you too might go blind...2

Darn I forgot. Always knew I'd die working. Are there Opus in heaven?“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns0

As seen on twitter:
Staring at eclipses is a solid 2nd place on the list of fun things that could make you go blind.3 -

10am here, so I'm gonna stay up late tonight and sleep right through it because it is completely inconsequential and pointless.

I'm turning my phones off and gonna relax on the front porch with a cup of coffee and possibly have a cigar.
We'll be the very first in the nation to see it.
That is, if it isn't all fogged in here.In Fumo Pax

It's going to be cloudy w/ on and off rain. I'm calling NOAA to see if the can switch it to Tues when skies will be clear.

We only get a partial view down here. We did have a total eclipse a few years ago, and it was pretty cool to see, but I'll be sleeping through ours."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."

I'm going to brew beer during the eclipse in hopes that it becomes imbued with magical properties!!!!! If not, I'll drink it anyway....Long days and pleasant nights,

USPS site not working right.
Wacko's out in force.
Already seen a guy half naked praying to the sky.
It's Armageddon today
I can only imagine how many go blind today or ruin their phones and try to sue the Sun or the eclipse sunglass manufacturers.

I'm concerned about mass eye damage. I've come across a few people that are clueless about the ease at which they can damage their eyes and their phones too.miller65rod said:

We didn't get a lot of the eclipse. We are just outside the shadow.
My son is in Salem, OR and he sent me these pictures he took just before it started going dark there.

Totality was pretty cool here. A few observations,.... It wasn't exactly total darkness. It was more like a very dim twilight. The hummingbirds never stopped feeding. Crickets didn't chirp. The corona was cool to see. (Forgot to look for stars) But, as the sun began to peek out again the sun's rays hitting the sidewalk in front of my house were wavy and pulsating. Before I stepped outside, the local radio news broadcast began to sound digitized and wavy. It WAS cool but of course, but too much hype.1

Ended up sleeping through it. Oh well, I'm sure there'll be another Armageddon sooner or later.“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns0

I almost forgot about it, noticed all my coworkers had disappeared.0

Mr. Sheng scammed me and never sent the solar safe glasses..."Dear customer,Thanks you for your order in websun.Had got your information that you do not receive confirmation from us.But the parcel has been sent out and via by express. or you can supply us the checking no. to check that it's great."
LOL,
Contacted the bank immediately after getting that email. If you quote me do the @TX98Z28 in your text or I won't be notified of your quote, Thanks.-1 -
And I noticed the dogs in my neighborhood barked and there was what sounded like a beagle baying. I guess you could say howling. I assumed this was just the dogs noticing all the extra people outside at that moment, but then I heard several first hand accounts on the radio and many people mentioned that they heard dogs barking or howling. I still think all that could be the dogs simply reacting to people coming outside to view the eclipse but haven't heard anything about that particular subject from any news source. If I google it all I see are articles posted pre-eclipse supposing how dogs possibly could react. Of course that was during the hype phase. Now nobody cares.0

With all the BS predictions you'd think there had never been a full eclipse before. We had one 5 or 6 years ago on the west coast...."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."
