We'll it's no surprise to most who know me I tend to start a contest when I'm 3 sheets to the wind and this is no different.  So here it is.
What is my favorite book? I've read this book no less than 5 times and ready to do it again.
2 hints it's fiction and was published between the years 1974-1976.
GO!

I have read all the books in that series several times.  Good ones, from shogun, to whirlwind.
I didn't care much for king rat, but was still good.
    Tai-pan was my favorite.

    I just recently reread Tai-Pan. I don't think I've read King Rat.
