Do they only take plastic?
Are you happy with it?
What do you Print?
After the initial cost are they still expensive to use?
Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost over night?

Been reading as much as I can and still have questions.

    I don't have a 3d printer, but I've worked with a few commercial ones.
There are many different filaments for them. Wood, metal and plastic.
I have not used the wood filament, but have used a metal type filament.
It was kind of a stainless filament.
Hard to work with and the machine has to be capable of using it.

Ask @keithjones over at the BOTL forum in the roll-your-own section.  (http://www.botl.org/members/keithjjones.17891/)

Bright young fellow. Has a 3D printer and a home made cad cam router table. Engineering student I believe. Has a fair amount of practical experience and down to earth advice on the subject. He makes & sells fine cigar molds for the guys over there.
