Back in 2011 I was out of work and someone told me about a company that employs naturally bearded Santa's at malls all over the U.S.& Canada. I applied and off I went to "The Park Place Mall" in Little Rock, Ark. It seems the Santa that was there got sick and they needed a replacement ASAP. So off I went. I was only there for 16 days but the story I want to tell you happened a few days before Christmas Eve. This very attractive young woman with long blonde hair came up holding her son. I heard her say "I'm sitting on Santa's lap with my baby". When she got settled on my lap and we started talking she told me the wig she was wearing was itching her. She then told me that when her son was born she was given 1 year to live without a bone marrow transplant. Her son was 4 months at the time so this meant 8 months left. She had been diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. My wife is a leukemia survivor and it took me by surprise. We talked a little more and I told her about Dawn. When they took the picture's and she went to pick out her choice, I got up, went over and tapped her on the shoulder. When she turned around I asked her if she believed in Santa. Her reply was "Yes I do". I then gave her a HUGE bear hug and told her that Santa would make it better. Today she is cancer free and enjoying watching her son Ayden grow up. This is my Miracle at the mall story. I truly believe I was sent there for a reason and nobody will ever tell me different.

Why am grateful? Because at the end of the day I'm a provocateur, an irreverent prat, sarcastic, at times manipulative, generally condensing, I'm smarter than most and I know it. Im a little quirky, I'm moody, brooding, and dark. Sometimes I'm a plain old ass. And in spite of all of this I'm surrounded by people that love me more than I deserve (including some of you SOBs) and that are making me a better person.

Thank you in advance Hopefully you provided a return address.
No Sir! Patrick was gracious and allowed me to tag team on this...contest winnings are not a retaliatory item. It's in the rules.
The rules! I have seen this rules thing in several threads lately and have been wondering if anybody would ever take them seriously again. The rules are there for a reason.
@Sleddog46 that is an amazing story thank you for sharing it.
It is my pleasure. Things happen in this world that can't be understood, so I will just consider myself blessed for being there. I think I'm a lucky man because of that and for many, many more things.
