Heard a radio ad the other day stating that more taxes are needed on tobacco, because...wait for it..."It's a well known gateway drug to alcohol".

$2/day to have health insurance and smoke cigars. I know it is the principle of the thing that is at issue, insurance is supposed to spread the risk among participants, but smoking is voluntary risky behavior statistically.
If you factor in the higher tobacco user premium, plus that $60 monthly fee,  the cost is considerably higher for voluntary risky behavior. What's next? Bicycle riding fee? Bacon blood testing and penalties? Wifey-with-a-temper-and-sharp-knives-in-home surcharge?   :#
Slivermouse, you make a good point and the system is far from perfect. I just felt like drawing out, and complaining about a simple choice; To pay or not to pay, cake and eat it too?  :D
