    Truly a beautiful tune.  My youngest sister just got a ukulele.  I'll have to get her to listen to that.

    His rendition of over the rainbow is probably the best I've ever heard. I think I remember reading about him being a key player in the native Hawaiian civil rights movement. He was so much more than a big guy with a uke

    He passed away around 1997 and it was a shame.
    I had a record by him from the early 90s.
    He did a lot of cover songs.
    He got really big about 1995 and his health suffered for it.
