Just a heads up, in case you haven't heard. I learned about this just this morning. I suppose the attack was begun just before the long weekend in order to gain a foothold while we were away, or not paying as much attention to our routers and stuff. And the name of the attacking malware is "VPNFilter". Well isn't that brilliant? Sounds just like something that is supposed to be installed on your devices, protecting you. Don't it?

    Thanks for the heads up just to be extra safe I gave my router a  good soaking in some soapy water to make sure there’s no viruses. I got this!

    Good. There should be no more threats, or anything else, coming from that router.

    I am a little leery about anything Russian. Never had Borscht but I like Russian dressing, it's homemade and labeled Muller dressing. We have so many power failures my router is always rebooting but I did again anyway, I wouldn't want Mueller to find any hint of Russia during his uncontrolled ever widening oops on the dems investigation(s).

    Well, if any more of y'all can't read the forbes story, there are plenty of other news outlets to get it from. Just google "FBI warning reboot routers Russians" or something like that and you'll see plenty of reporting on this story.
