Buying Cigars

Let me ask, when buying cigar boxes from a rmoke shop, is the proper thing to do after paying for them, is to open up the boxes and take out each cigar and inspect them? I guess this would be common sense? Right? Thanks

    Yes, if there's any issues with the sticks inside, the proprietor can see them, and rectify them while you're still there.  The sticks *should* be fine, but I've seen some have issues.  My local store opened a brand new box for their shelves and half of them had split/cracked feet.

    A lot of times if you find issues the store will knock a hefty amount off the retail as well. Not saying you should examine each stick under a microscope, but it's something to keep in mind. My B&M hooked me up with a full box of smoked last year after finding beetle damage on some Olivas.
