Let us all remember this date which lives in infamy. Please take a moment to honor all those who fought to keep us free and all the HERO's who gave their all. Please tell the younger bucks what this was all about.

Funny you should mention “infamy.” It was almost “world history”.

In honor of those taken, those who fought and those who survived Pearl Harbor and all veterans, for that matter.

Look past the looks of the old man and you will see a man who was once young and strong.

Look past the hardened and cold exterior and you will see a man who once loved his family, protected and took care of them.

Look past the disheveled man who stands there, broken, battered, weary and shaking and you will see the warrior he once was.

This man has walked through death, hate, hell and violence and survived everything that was thrown at him. He is old, weary and tired. But he continues on. 

He loves his family, friends and country and if called upon today, would put his uniform on and give it his best fight.

Know that the old man, who looks worn down and weary, is so, because he defended your country, your rights and your freedom.

Under the exterior of the wrinkled old man, is the heart of a warrior who would love nothing more, than to be that warrior again.

This man could be anyone you know. Give them the respect they earned.

Too bad it took an attack like that to get the USA to actually get involved.
Our practice of not wanting to get involved in what was purely a European problem, made it much harder to dislodge Hitler.  We gave him free reign to solidify his stranglehold on Europe and Africa.
How many boatloads of Jewish people did we turn away only to find their bones in an extermination camp 3 years later?  How shameful.  But our shame was one of the reasons we gave Israel to the Jewish people.

It's a very different world today.
