Boveda Reading Higher Than Normal

I have some 69% bovedas in my tupperdores and humidors and they are all reading 72-73%.  It’s disappointing because I am aiming for a perfect balance and they are supposed to put out the RH that’s advertised.  Any thoughts?

Assuming your container is sealed --My guess is, your 'Gars are too humid and it will take time for them to balance out. The Boveda will work, they just needs days or weeks to make everything nice and happy. The Boveda you got are two-way, so they will remove excess moisture but it takes time. Patience is key.

Since you asked, yes, I have some thoughts.

You should quit this cigar hobby.  Or at least only smoke at cigar lounges so you don't have to store them at home.  Your brain is not calibrated to allow you any enjoyment in a hobby as inexact as this one, with all its variables and variations.

If you are disappointed that you are off by 3-4%, (which may not be accurate or if it is accurate it may be due to valid reasons and those valid reasons may be irrelevant) it makes me less than hopeful that the rest of your life is not filled with similar disappointment.

Disappointment is my middle name........Really it's David, but that doesn't have anything to do with your current "issue"
