Okay, guys... Just got out of my meeting with Legal and we're good to go for a monthly Forum-only contest! In a nutshell, these will be separate giveaways from what you see on CCOM's Social Media, and you're not going to have to repost anything, tag people, etc., which I know can get annoying. I will start a topic within "Discussions" here which I'll keep pinned to the top that will swap out for each month; although I can't promise the giveaways will always be huge, I do plan on making sure once per quarter to give away a big prize pack so things don't go stale.
Question: How would everyone feel if once in awhile I get a manufacturer to provide a Forum-only bulk 5-pack, where (for example), you guys can get it for only $5 when it would normally retail for $50+? I would make a private page on CIGAR.com and provide a link to everyone here, that way non-Forum members can't piggyback off the promo.
The only other thing I'd like to get input on would be if there are specific brands you'd like to see for these monthly sweepstakes. We're headed into the end of 2019 and I don't have a ton to choose from, but I do have the personal cell number of every cigar maker in the biz ( ), and have no qualms asking for favours. Just let me know what brands you'd like featured and I'll bug those guys until they cave. (LOL)
For the forum-only contest, I'd suggest those interested would actually need to enter, as opposed to the winner being plucked from a list of all registered forum members.
If you could get some manufacturers to put up some bulk 5'ers at that price, I'd dare say anyone opposed to it is a nut-job and should be run off the forum. :-) It would be very cool if there would also be a brief blurb included as to the type of tobaccos used, where the cigar falls in their line-up if it's not a stock product, etc.
We get asked here all the time as to what cigars we would recommend, and the stock answer is to watch the "Watcha Smokin' This Morning/This Afternoon/Tonight" threads. Stuff that shows up there on a consistent basis would be a good starting point. I myself, just smoke what Nick @Usaf06 smokes.
My thoughts about who wants to be entered is I would post a photo and/or graphic of the prize in the thread per month. In order to be considered, any Forum member would simply have to comment by typing "ENTER" (or something to that effect), that way only legitimately interested folks are being considered.
I will preface by saying there probably will be times we will do a "Brand Takeover" for the contest, and so most brands generally want to see enthusiasm, so people who want to be considered for the giveaway will have to participate in that month's thread by posting a photo of themselves smoking a cigar from said brand.
I'll be with Klaas Kelner most of next Thursday morning, so I'll see what I might be able to conjure up. Worst case scenario I put Klaas on blast when we do our on-camera interview and see if he buckles under pressure? LOL

I didn't do my first trade here for a few years. I used to joke that I wasn't on the good trader list. So that might need to be considered.

I was 3 months doing my first trade, but we have a lot of profiles that are only active the day they are activated. Just a thought, but most likely I am over thinking it.
