Hi there,
I've recently purchased a house in NJ and part of the house was an old store. There seems to be a vintage looking oak cigar humidor case that is metal lined. I thought this forum would be a good place to reach cigar enthusiasts to get some more info on it or connect me with someone who may be interested in it. Any info or interest would be greatly appreciated!

🤷🏻♂️ Could be the one your fortune cookie was talking about. She already has a humidor.
I would suggest searching the internet as if you were searching to buy a cabinet like the one you have. That way you will probably discover the websites that the more serious collectors of antique tobacco related antiques use to track down what they collect. Using the term tobacciana in your searches may help also. Tobacciana refers to collectibles or antiques related to all types of tobacco products including both cigars and cigarettes.

Cabinets like these are very interesting to me and remind me of a time period in my grandparent's lives when these cabinets were in corner drug stores everywhere. Collecting them would be a priority if I had the means and space to do so. Often people don't recognize these old cabinets and the purpose of the lining. I have a small copper lined humidor smoking stand. My ex bought it in and antique shop for use as a tall nightstand. Neither she or the shop owner knew it's original purpose. At the time I was just getting into cigars and was pleased to discover it's purpose.
Not my cabinet, but almost identical.
I'd love to see the rest of that old store.
There was a local newspaper store in my younger days, that had similar humidor cabinets.
Good memories.
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
