I downloaded the app a while back and never used it, but if hangouts ever goes away, a backup is nice to have.

The Discord was an option, because some of us didn't have camera set ups for the google chat and sometimes I would prefer to put my earphones and mic in to talk, while I am doing something.
It was just something we thought we'd try out.
It allows you to post things, transfer files, it will even allow folks to see your desktop, if you are trying to show them something. There are quite a few features to it that are yet unexplored. LOL!
It was only something to see if it was a viable thing to use.

Chris said phone, so I talked about my phone. I'm sure I could do Discord on my laptop. And I agree that we need different options to Vherf in case google hangouts becomes a problem.
