@LuvBourbon there is a big difference between joking, being sarcastic and calling a man a liar and questioning his integrity. Many of us have had dealings with each other and many have met and know each other personally. Stubble is one of the best people you’ll ever have the privilege of dealing with here. So yeah, when something like that is said...most will take it personally.
Many of us are also “old school”. Calling someone a liar is something you just don’t do without just cause.
I was being facetious when I asked @LuvBourbon if he was calling Stubble a liar. I understood Bourbon's response of "yes, yes I am" to be him responding in a facetious way. I don't believe he was truly being insulting.

It's a tough lesson to learn, but when someone holds a mirror up to you and says this is how I see you, even if they are wrong the correct response is 'thank you for pointing that out, I was unaware, and I appreciate it'.
Many people join a forum - I've seen it here and in every forum I've belonged to - and they fail to 'read the room'. And/or they don't grasp how they've presented themselves or how they are perceived.
The thing that'll tell is what happens going forward.
As someone who has only been here a month or so longer than you, @LuvBourbon, my advice to you is to stay on and keep giving it a shot. I got off to a bit of a rocky start myself, at least with a few folks. Yet, upon giving it more time I am learning how things work around here and some of the guys are learning how I work.
This place has an established culture. Nothing and no one can be added to an established culture without folks having to learn about each other. That usually means some awkward or tense moments.

Tried to get on but it wouldn’t connect
What does it mean when you guys post pictures relating to your avatar?
Just to let others know you're in the Vherf?
Nope, it just means we are thinking of each other.
This is the always joking thing I was told about, Guessing I was right...lol
Are you calling @Stubble a liar?

I'm always thinking of you!
Aw that's sweet
yes, yes I am.
I'm thinking of you, @Stubble, but normally when I post a picture it means I'm on the vHerf.
How many years you spend pissing on a toilet seat before someone told you to put it up?
For fun I leave the lid down too......
If they come into my house, they get what they get.
Not funny, try again.
who said I was trying to be funny?
Or should I answer that I haven't learned it yet..........is that what you're after?
Reading several of your posts, "Socially inept" is more in line with my thoughts.
That's neat......ask me if I care.
No one's keeping you here, @LuvBourbon.
So I'm the bad guy for sticking up for myself?
wow.
No wonder you guys struggle to get new members.........or even members that want to be active for that matter.
This escalated quickly...

As the only sane ones here, we Midwesterners need to stick together, @Jrflickster.
