Storing freshly rolled sticks

Hello.. new to the forum with my first question!
How and how long would be recommended to store freshly rolled cigars? I’ve been frequenting some Dominican hand rolled shops in my area and am thinking about a larger order. Question is about ‘sick period’ What would be the best way to store let’s say a box worth and how long should I wait to light up?

Thanks for the help!

Don't they speak English at those shops?

About as well as I speak Spanish, unfortunately.. sometimes there’s a kid there who translates.. I was going to ask them but wanted to hear some thoughts as well.

That's what I figured. I'm sure some of our experts, whose ranks I am not part of, will be glad to chime in.
