Vector Torch Filling Mystery

I just bought a new Vector KGM Thundra Torch. I went to fill it as usual, turning the flame setting to - and inserting the fuel. But when I pushed the fuel in, it came out around the flame adjustment screw. What could I possibly be doing wrong? I have had these lighters before and did not have this issue.

You may need to add an adapter tip to fit the size of the fill valve. Some butane refill bottles come with the adapters.

    1. Use one of the nozzle extensions on the cap of your fuel can
    2. Could be the nozzle on the can or the valve on the lighter is chewed up a bit. I have a vertigo like that. Instead of turning it all the way down and slowly fill it, I turn the wheel all the way up and fast fill it until it starts leaking. Then I bleed it a couple of times and top it off.
