Cigar Clipper Make

Can anyone tell me anything about this Dunhill clipper? I was my uncle's. What I am most curious about is what the rounded end with the notch in it at the bottom of the picture is for.

    Not sure but I think it is for lifting the lid on boxes that are nailed shut.
