    This

Klein also makes a good one, but I get it sometimes you just need a big long ass level.

I have one of these from a different brand, can't remember what brand it is. It is a very useful tool.

Question for you guys who like to use digital. Do you find yourself releveling/remeasuring after? Ya know .... to make sure. lol

Actually both at the same time if possible, you know “checks and balances”.

Yeah, in the house I find a level counterproductive because using one will make pictures, etc. look wrong compared to the rest of the house which isn't level.

Only until the digital device has proven reliable.

Use a digital protractor to check flight control travel and prop blade pitch. It's a pain innee azz, but that's what's calibrated and the manual calls for it. We've got a bubble unit I'd prefer to use.

I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...

I have Dewalt/Stanley tools (corded) that are coming up on 30 years old.

I also work for Stanley so I am kinda biased.

I would offer you my discount but you would laugh at it. Most of the time I can buy it cheaper on sale at Lowes. Hand tools we have to buy by the sleeve to get a discount but saving $5 on a hammer isn’t worth it when I have to take 7 of them. It used to be amazing but too many employees got caught with eBay stores that the company stopped it.

I have entered another rabbit hole, hand tools this time. I picked up a rockler (bench dog) 60 1/2 block plane. I am very familiar with flattening, leveling and nerd level perfecting tools old and new, but this was definitely a challenge. Long rant coming, in short do not buy bench dog by rockler. It came with a inspection report claiming the sole was 0.0016. I first did a light test on a known flat board on my counter top, failed bad. Then I put it on the glass side of an 18000 grit stone checked that for flatness using a heavy ass level bar (not an actual level) it was flat. Using feeler gauges this this was off up to #4 and .10 a far cry from 0.006. I should have returned it, but I’m stubborn and like a challenge. After flattening on 300 and 1000 grit diamond stone for over an hour she’s perfect now. The blade was good but I had another issue with the throat I will not get into, but yeah. I got it on sale with a further discount, but for what they want for these one would expect much higher quality control. She’s sharp, flat, balanced and cutting great, but took way too much effort to get there. Anyway I don’t recommend.
