Since there is so much hype and fan fair regarding the Padron/Fuente collaboration I thought why not do a contest. Who knows when they’ll actually be released or what kind of astronomical price will be affixed to them. With all the speculation, what I want to know is how many of these humidors will actually be released to the general public for purchase.

Just an update to this. They showcased them AGAIN at PCA this year. Still no pricing. Still no availability or release information. The only ones that have been released were a very few sticks for Cigar Aficionados big smoke

Edward currently has the closest answer. I’ll give it a few more days to see what other information surfaces.
Looks like they had 2,000 boxes made. They haven't committed to how many they will actually release, but sounds like they are releasing them in batches as needed.
In late November, Arturo Fuente shipped the first 750 boxes out of the roughly 2,000 that were made to the U.S. Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. announced the shipment on social media. In the two weeks since, it became apparent that there was an issue that prevented the first batch of cigars—which are expected to be distributed by Padrón—from being released.
