Your palates are way to defined! I tasted garlic and rosemary the other night when I had a guardian of the farm. (Just made garlic and rosemary butter)
I will say that one time, and only one time, with an A-B Prensado or Black Market (can't quite recall but 80% sure Prensado), I tasted Caramel Rum Cake quite distinctly for a few puffs. I think it had the full 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.

Black pepper = a sensation
White pepper = a taste
At least that's how it works for me and cigars.
