But I guess it’s better than the alternative.
Freaking high blood pressure, diabetes, tendinitis, tinnitus, diverticulosis, vertigo. And WTF is going on with my freaking nose and ear hairs!

I feel your pain @Rhamlin Every morning, I feel your pain!
It ain't for sissies.
Nose and ear hairs are the worst. Sounds like it is time for some lifestyle changes to address the rest. More Brussel sprouts!
More ice cream!
Ricky, just wait. You think it's bad now... you just wait, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Old injuries are bothering me now as I have reached geezer stage. Compound fracture to my right wrist from a fall. Compression fracture to my back from another fall,. Spiral fracture from a fall while skiing. Gun shot to my left hip in the war. Good thing I don't ski or get on roofs any more. Hope I don't get into any more gun fights either.
Fight old age until you can’t fight anymore…memento mori…memento vivere!!!!
A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.
My parents once had a landlady who was well into her eighties and still scrambling under pine trees to cut branches and climbing ladders to clean gutters. She was trying her darndest to fight back against her age.
I had a great-grandpa who worked until he was about 97.
I figure a sense of purpose can go a long way.

I hear retirement kills a lot of men. Good thing I'll never afford to retire. I may live forever.
Trapped in the People's Communist Republic of Massachusetts.
I retired early to give my body time to adjust.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.
Cutting (handsaw/chain saw) branches for kindling but cannot work more than a half hour without needing to rest. Still taking corticosteroids for PMR but am gradually finding that my energy and stamina may never go back to where it was last year.
The tinnitus is the worst. Drives me nuts. The buzzing just never stops
I saw a video on facebook about how to cure tinnitus. That should do the trick.
I'm sorry to hear that, Edward. I hope you find yourself mistaken.

Thanks, Ian. It's time for me to learn better how to age gracefully as I head into my late 70's. It isn't easy.
@silvermouse , I'd never have guessed you were near your late 70's, based on your activities, your musings, and your heart. While I disagree with some of your beliefs (as I interpret them - I could be wrong), I respect your ideals and ethics.
As someone who lost his father to kidney failure when he was 73, I respectfully submit you let some younger folks deal with the manual labor stuff you used to do, and enjoy your beach walks without worrying about supposed decline or physical restrictions. It seems to me you have earned the time to relax.
