Memorial Day 2024

So, as my custom I want to honor some Marines this Memorial Day. These young men went through Boot Camp at Parris Island early in 1966 with me. Eighty three recruits graduated and became Marines in my platoon. These eight were later killed in combat in Vietnam. Please say a small prayer of thanks to them for giving their lives so the rest of us could live. Wounded in action is usually twice or three times those killed I don't know how many of us were wounded.
