Oliva Saison Maduro Robusto first harvest 2011

Hi. I got 3 of these little guys in a recent sampler. I see it says first harvest 2011. Does that mean it was rolled in 2011 or just the leaves were from 2011 and they have been stored somehow for the last 13 years?

First harvest means that 2011 was the first year they harvested that tobacco. They’ve grown it every year since then.

Some descriptions make it sound like only 2011 crop is used for the entre cigar, and some descriptions hint that some tobacco from 2011 is in the mix. And yes, it is possible to store tobacco that long. But it only takes a pinch for it not to be a lie, so I refuse to overthink it. They are good at creating illusions based on legends created wholly by the marketing department. Do you really like the little guys?, buy another sampler or a box. Are they robustos? Stick with the robusto, unless you tire of it, then try another vitola.

They may not be around much longer. <------- Marketing? Or not? Who knows?

thanks for the info. My sense of smell and taste is returning so I plan on lighting this little guy up today. I was curious about the 2011 issue.
