However, neither major candidate running in the 2024 presidential election has put forward a plan to address this rising debt burden. In fact, our comprehensive analysis of the candidates’ tax and spending plans finds that both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump would likely further increase deficits and debt above levels projected under current law.
Under our central estimate, Vice President Harris’s plan would increase the debt by $3.50 trillion through 2035, while President Trump’s plan would increase the debt by $7.50 trillion.

We cut cut all spending for feeding and housing all of the illegals who've invaded the country. Abolish the NEA. Cut spending on national parks by 50%. End or severely restrict general welfare spending to just those who are unable to work. Stop subsidizing the airlines, banks, etc. So many things could be slashed in half.

Why did you pick those two to cut?
Military is the most expensive line item on the budget. Social security is a separate deduction on your W2 that is > 7%. Bottom line is you could stop all foreign aid and liberal policies and 7 percent still wouldn't cut it.

You still couldn't afford the military.

So voting for Harris would be better for the long term debit of the country? Who takes the bait and responds with .... ."Yeah but Trump will....."
