Drew Estate Liga Privada No.9 Belicoso ... Don't like em!
I bought a box of 24 Drew Estate Liga Privada No.9 Belicoso. Based after reading CA's reviews on these and my favorite cigars seemed to be out of stock EVERYWHERE. I decided to pull the trigger. Now I'm no connoisseur of cigars by any means but I know what I like and so far I've only been able to smoke 4 cigars and I am not happy. I figure you couldn't go wrong with these but not for me. I'm sure there are fellow cigar smokers that think these are it. Not me... for sure!
Has anybody else had this reaction to these or am I just out of sorts. I know they're popular and it's a solid brand but there's something about them. I just can't sit back and enjoy them. Is there something wrong me? Are these great smokes and I'm just not giving them a chance? I'd like to hear what everybody thinks about the Drew Estate Liga Privada No.9 Belicoso's. Thanks for reading this far... 😀

Drew Estate has a cult following. In my opinion most of their cigars suck. The Ligas are not even close to being the unicorns they were at one time and since being mass produced they’re not nearly as good either. They’re overpriced, overhyped, and loaded with chemicals. That’s just my two cents.
That sums it up. They seem to be as rare as Monte White Label and just as incorrectly priced. I might pay $6 each and I think some would think that's over paying. Sorry my guy. We don't want to see anyone get burned... no pun intended.
Dammit! And now I can't unknow that. I have a couple left and that's all I'm going think about. IDK what the old ones are like but I was enjoying these. (Grumbles and stalks away with slumped shoulders and bowlegged like Yosemite Sam)

I've always liked 'em, but rarely bought them. Probably the one's I've had have been from at least 5 years ago, not sure if there are any still floating around in the cooler. I think I did buy some of the T-52's a year or so ago and bed them down for awhile.
The chemical thing is bothersome. I'm willing to pay the premium prices for tobacco that's NOT been chemicalized. I think I just made up a new word!
I guess sometimes it's just better not to know.

When you’re smoking a cigar and can see two very distinct burn lines and two different colors of smoke coming from the foot something isn’t right.
A glance at the bright green fields of monoculture spotless and big free tobacco tells you the plants have been chemically protected from insects and heavily fertilized. Add to that the fungicides used in the curing barns and you discover why no maker claims their cigars are "organic". As for Drew Estate adding other stuff I don't know. Craig Tarler at C&D once sent me a lb of the fungicides he used on all the blends of pipe tobacco when I asked him how to keep the box-pressed plugs I was trying to make kept getting moldy.
They are definitely dyed.
