Plastic Wrapper or NO Plastic Wrapper??

I know this has been probably asked a million and one times but I never really got the answer. So I'm asking all the experts here... is it better to leave the plastic sleeve on your cigars in your humidor or remove the plastic? Now this is only if you're storing them in your humidor and not traveling with them in a cigar carrier.
I would think it would be better to remove the plastic but then again it might just personal preference and not necessary. Can you help me out?? Thank you... 😊

Stop it. Just stop it. You have either been smoking for 20 years and not paying attention, or you're just trolling us.
Wrapper is the outer leaf of a cigar. Cellophane is the clear sleeve they come in.
Search this forum or the web for cellophane or cello.
First off, hopefully your cigars have cellophane on them and not plastic. Cellophane is a breathable material where plastic is not. Most manufacturers use cellophane but as of late some brands have actually started using plastics that are cheaper.
Secondly, if it’s cellophane there really is no tangible benefit in removing it for storage. It is an extra layer of protection that helps safeguard from a lot of factors. Mold being one of them. Most people think mold only comes from the combination of heat and humidity. Those factors allow it to grow. It has to come from somewhere to start with and more often than not it comes from transfer on our hands while we’re digging around in them.
Other than that it’s like so many other things …personal preference. When it comes down to all the factors that are personal preference in this hobby we’re all right and we’re all wrong. The trick is finding out what works best for you and gives you the best experience.
A drawer full of naked cigars is alluring, but prudence dictates that I keep my sticks wrapped in cellophane.
Hmmmmmm 🤔😂😂

I'm sorry for using the wrong terminology. Did not mean to ruffle any feathers... I ask to learn.
@peter4jc ...Thank you for so kindly correcting me. It's not plastic but cellophane. As I said just cause I smoke cigars doesn't mean i know everything or actually anything and thats why I'm here to learn. Again I thank everyone for clearing this error for me.
I will now quietly back out and slink back in to me corner and be quiet... sorry.

@OutdoorsSmoke_21191 ... thank you for your patience and kind words. It makes a big difference. And nothing negative about anything or anyone that said or not said. It's all taken with a grain of salt. You take what you need and learn so do you don't have to repeat yourself and throw away what you don't need or helps.
