Ohio state is so good that they have Bo Jackson on the team, and he's third string.

The refs in the Texas/ SJSU game should all be fired. Even though it was a blowout..they made sure Arch wasn’t gonna lose two in a row.

I am positively gleeful. Buh-bye, Lame Game.

Now he knows what taking responsibility really is, rather than just the lip service he's been giving it.

Cannot believe that coach is getting $49 million to take a hike. Big bucks from football in the education biz. Priorities seem skewed.

It's a drop in the bucket. All of these institutions have billion dollar endowments. And it's all profit. The football team makes $90 million a year, and this $49 million is brought out over several.

Wish Florida would fire their coach too.

There's a Pro team in Florida that needs to fire its coach, too.

One more comment on the Penn State buyout of Lame Game James. Apparently the contract includes a clause that requires LGJ to seek equal employment or forfeit the buyout, and the buyout is reduced by a new contract's salary, on a yearly basis. In other words, if LGJ signs a contract paying him $7 million per, then PSU owes him only $1m for that year, if $8m or above, then PSU owes $0. Also, he cannot take a position that pays him significantly less than a prevailing salary for the position, meaning he can't sign a contract for HC position for well below the typical salary, and expect PSU to make up the difference.

Pretty standard. He will likely not get an $8 million job after losing three in a row with the supposedly best team in the country.

In order for him to forfeit his buyout, they have to prove that he specifically wouldn't take a job that he could have definitely had that would have reduced the buyout amount. It's a tough standard of proof.

    Down 27-0
    4th and 19…
kicker’s heels on his own goal line…
    And Fickle calls the fake…

That accounted for more than 25% of their entire yards of the game

Yeah, I figured that was pretty standard.

What surprised me was the actual highest salaries on the FBS head coach list. LGJ isn't even close to the top in terms of yearly salary, by over 50%. Kirby Smart makes $13.3m. LGJ was number 16. With the universities which are possible landing spots for him, he could reasonably expect $8m/year.

I'm guessing he's not getting a big time program as his next stop. He fared too poorly against top 10 teams to coach in the B1G or SEC. He'll probably resurface at an ACC or Big 12 school next year, and likely not one of the top ones Pittsburgh seems to make sense since he knows the area and can probably dig into Penn state's recruiting. I don't know if Pittsburgh is in the market for a coach though. I think Cincinnati fired their coach this year too, but I might have remembered the graphic incorrectly. Neither one of those schools is paying 8 million. Still, it'll get offset a little bit.

He might also choose to go be a coordinator for a bigger program or an NFL team. Again, his offense and defense sucked with big time talent. That probably won't happen.
