I still have my favorites but now there's quite a few brands that I ether didn't notice before or weren't around back when I was smoked last. I just want to know how some of the newer stuff measures up and what's out there. Thanks for any advice.

Check the three different “what are you smoking” threads. They’ll give you a good idea. The vherf is also always a good option to find out what’s what.

Buy a bunch and smoke 'em.

Ever wonder why people come and ask questions, and then don't participate in the ensuing conversation?

It's supposed to be an inside joke, so why you want to blurt out the inside part immediately? You couldn't let him scratch his head for a few days at least?

I was going to wait till you ran him off to tell him but figured now's a good time.... see if we can't keep this one around.

As to your original question: If you can tolerate the weirdos and azz-oles on this forum you will learn a lot about the cigars we think are worth buying and also if you're interested cigar storage and purchasing and even which industry insiders you ought to hate. Stick around and get involved. Once you participate in the forum discussions and get around 50 posts in, people will be willing to do a newbie trade with you and then also you should seek out additional trades and this wide variety of new sticks will allow you to sample some quality cigars that are new to you.
