The Ave Maria line is great in my opinion. It has choices for pretty much every taste, strength, and body you could want. The construction is always spot on as well.
The Man o War line has changed a lot over the years. If you smoked them years ago don’t go in expecting the same experience. They’re still well made cigars, just some of the flavor profile has changed.
I'm also a big Ave Maria fan. The Ave Maria and Man O' War lines are from AJ Fernandez, I also like the Man O' War Puro Authentico and Armada from that line.
Awesome, I guess I'll for sure look for some ava maria. I'll think about picking up some man o war too.
Thanks
The MOWs are generally more peppery and strong, though not what they once were.
@Rdp77 what do you think of the Ave Maria Crusaders on the Daily Deal today? I don't remember if I've tried that one. It has an Ecuador Habano wrapper.
Any recommendations on which ava maria I should get? Or should I just grab a sampler
Get the 35 cigar Big Haul sampler. Good cigars.
The original is very good. Then there are Excalibur, Reconquista and Argentum are my favorites.
As @Yakster said, the man o war Armada and Puro Authentico are very good, as well.

They’re the regular Ave Maria. Crusader is just what they call the vitola. Good smokes in my opinion.
Depends on what you like. They go from light with the Holy Grail Connecticut up to full with the Lionheart or Reconquista. I’d get a sampler to get a feel for the brand. I just wouldn’t get the “morning star” sampler to start. That vitola sucks nuts in my opinion.
You can get Ava Marie samplers, picked one up last week, at a very reasonable price. 10 Perfecto's in 5 blends.

Where was that, Dave?

Going to pick this one up
@Rdp77 I'd just won the morning star too 😆 🤣
Well I hope you enjoy them. That’s a good sampler above. It’s missing three from the line though. The Divinia, the Reconquista, and the Excalibur.
I thought the Morning Star cigars were a fun vitola, I hope you enjoy them.
You have to cut both ends to get them to smoke.

I cut the head but just draw while lighting the foot to get them going like many other closed foot cigars.
Match works great, small flame lights them for me.
