My father

I know I’m just the new kid trying to find a community or brotherhood if you will and I’m generally but good at this type of thing but I’m going to be vulnerable for a moment. My father has been undergoing medical issues over the last 9 or so months. Long story short his heart was in AFib, and he had some gut issues that led to him having to have a colonoscopy and on a series of heart meds. Fast forward to last week we thought he was healthy enough to have a reversal of the colonoscopy and he had the surgery to put his colon back together but there were complications. It’s been up and down over the last week and it looks like this is going to be his last day. My father has always been a caring and loving man and has always showed me more than my fair share even when I was a young punk ass kid who took him for granted. I love you pops, I hope I can be as patient, loving, caring, selfless and as good of a man to my kids as you were to me. Today is my birthday too and I think I will cherish that I get to share this day with you and never forget.

I’m not looking for handouts or sympathy I just may not be as present for a moment and needed to get my thoughts out.
