A couple old Cubans my grandpa acquired while in Cuba in 50s.

unless they have been stored for the last 70 years without being allowed to dry out they are probably worthless. Either smoke them or give them to a friend to smoke.

I have a couple of 50s era cigars my grandpa acquired while stationed in Cuba in the 50s. I am curious if there is any value to them. One is H. Upmann Habana and the one is chas odence y ca habana.Would you mind showing me a picture of them?

You're wondering if there's any value to them? C'mon, man. They were brought back by your grandfather, stationed in Cuba, during a sketchy time in history, and you're wondering if they have value. You're either hard up for dough, or you don't think much of ol' gramps.

Wow, come on to a forum hoping to find some info and get met with a couple douchebags. What info were you hoping to hear? That they are with a few hundred dollars or more, and that perhaps we'd like to buy them? We smoke cigars, we don't collect them. The value they have, as one douchebag told you, is in their sentimental value, nothing else. If you don't already value them for that reason, then they are worthless.

Worthless. Send em to me and I’ll properly dispose of em for you.

The first cigar was not made in Cuba. They were made in the US with Cuban tobacco.
Pretty cool cigar actually. The Upmann puzzles me.

What puzzles me about the Upmann is the tube. It’s a tube for a Coronas Minor. They used that tube from the mid 50s up until 2019. But the tube was always threaded.

He probably does, but I didn’t just google it. I use a specific website for most of my info that usually doesn’t come up in most searches.
But im pretty sure that you’re pretty sure I knew that.

Here is a picture of the actual upmann cigar.

Of course, I'll never disrespect your cigar knowledge. I did "google" it, and an almost verbatim description of the Charles Odence Company came up on the very first hit.

Here is a picture of the actual upmann cigar.Time has not treated that cigar well. These spots here are mold. They look like deep mold that can’t be wiped off. I’d suggest keeping them as a keepsake and if you’re interested in the hobby, possible making them into a display.

I always hit 'agree' with Rusty's posts to pretend I already knew what he posted.

Smoke them anyway, just so you can say you did.

So, you're not to blame, @mgappling. We get a LOT of flack here, scammers and worse, and then someone comes along with a legit question and over-reaction sets in quickly.
Your cigars are worth what you say they are, to you. It's possible that someone might want to put them on display somewhere. There's a place near me called Discovery Park of America that has a couple ancient cigars included in one of their displays, but I doubt they carry much $$ value.
If you're actually interested in the hobby, this is the place. If you're looking for a venue to sell stuff, not so much.
I think that if I were you, I'd build a little display box, include one of those preservative packs somewhere unseen, and mount a little plaque with some information about your grandfather, maybe a picture or two, and be happy with the memories.

Well, probably not. I guess I'd be Franky every day.
Carry on.
