I guess if i had a wrapper i could try rolling a cigar, but im curious if anyones ever put the box scraps in a pipe? Or cigar tobacco in a pipe. Thoughts? I feel it would taste fine.

There are a few makers who make pipe blends with tobacco leaf in it. KBVEN.COM comes to mind first. Those tobacco leaves you pictured are also a good indicator of humidity in your humidor. I keep one in mind and I give it a little squeeze every once in a while. Not too moist, not to dry= perfect.

Is that from cigars or the tobacco leaf they use as packing material? If the later, it may not be great tobacco.

Cigar tobacco adds body and flavor to pipe tobacco. I used to add the cigar wedge from the v-cutter to my pipe tobacco, you could cut cigars into coins with a guillotine cutter or rub it out and add it.

@Yakster its the packing tobacco, Im pretty sure its the same ligero they use in the man o war puro authentico, it has that nice spicy punch like that first pull of one, but its more mellow like smoking a pipe, i use this pipe primarily for aromatics, and its melded some of those flavors in with it.

Im not sure what the last thing i smoked in here was, maybe blood red moon, but the retrohale left the most amazing cinnamon/cherry/clove/sangria smell/flavor in my nose, this is great

When I was in Ybor City FL I went to several shops that roll their own cigars. If you purchase some, the girl at the counter reaches into a bag of tobacco leaf scraps, dips them in water, squeezes them out and puts them in with your cigars. I believe that this is what was done prior to the invention of Humi-care or Boveda products. Lends an air of authenticity to the Puro Authentico line.

Trying it out now. Very dark and strong flavor. Having a half bowl before bed. I'll take the remainder to work tomorrow and maybe mix it with dark burley.

I find it to be milder than the cigars. May just be random filler tobacco.
