Watched the grandkids today, 3 & 5, so my Niece could spend the day with her husband. These kids are high energy and obstinate but a lot of fun. We set up the Cornhole set after tackling the yard this morning before they came over. The HellMutt had a high time running around the yard with the kids, wore her right out. I smoked a party pack of chicken drumsticks and the 5 yo had two and some of his brother's chicken, and he's a picky eater.

Mother passed away last night. She was 88 years old and spent her life raising me alone and doing what ever she could for those about her. Not a sad story, she was ready to go. Mentally sharp yet body was shot. Trying to call relatives and friends from so many states to let them know. Her 2nd oldest sister who is 90 left a voice mail me today in return of the call. Now mind you, my mothers side of the family is very close, as well as sarcastic . Anyway it started out saying " Do you know how scary it is to receive a a phone call from my sister who has recently passed away?". My none drinking aunt of 90 then told me to go get a name brand beverage lemonade. So thankful to have folks that understand the difference between the quantity of life and the quantity of life. Also glad I have had the conversations in this place to keep my mind busy during this.

And to take a line paraphrased from a very wise man that knows getting dirty is ok (Randy), and now back to the previously scheduled program
