Traveling with Cigars

(cigar map website is dead) Do you travel around with your cigars? Do you find new places to lounge and smoke while you're at it? Discuss.

I'm about to travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and found this place called Cigar Country, got a nice lounge and good reviews. Cigar Country chain is only located in DR. Not a tourist trap, unlike the other one, Don Lucas. The prices seem standard, no significant markups. I just want to see if I can find any cigars not located in the states. Anyone went there?

Then Cigars International in PA but everyone knows where those are.

    I didn't bring any cigars to Japan and regretted it. Made a special trip to pay a premium for three cigars here, but standing outside on my daughter's stoop in high humidity hasn't been conducive to a premium cigar experience.

    Yes, you rather have dry cigars than overly humid ones, it just attract unwanted pests. Which is why I'm bringing the entire humidor with me, can fit 40 or so cigars so I can even by more if I like.

    Some places are not cigar friendly. Like when I went to Minnesota, the smoking fee in a hotel is $2,000, nearly 10 times more expensive than hotels in Massachusetts and most states. I smoked at the ceiling-less balcony. They haven't charged me so far. I kept the smell away from their sensor. The housekeeper probably didn't inspect any further. Threw the ashes in the parking lot trash can.

    I considered Amsterdam for a vacay but changed my mind as soon as I found out they are not cigar friendly either. I'll probably go next year or something. For now, I just want the ultimate solo vacation experience, with unrestricted cigar smoking.

    I remember looking up customer stores in Amsterdam and found one that specializes in Nicaraguan cigars, not sure it's still in business, but worth checking out if you go.

    I wouldn't take any to a cigar friendly destination, buy a couple boxes when you get there and you're set

    A little dirt never hurt
