    On par, yes.
    But they're apples to oranges IMO.

    Live at the Regal is that traditional Chicago blues sound.
    Riding with the King has more of a rock/modern blues sound.

    He's been around a long time...think he recorded his first album at 14 or 16..in his early 30's now. Did you ever see Blues Brothers 2000? He rocked out on the Wilson Pickett song 634-5789...dude is amazing.
