  It was an attempt at making a synthetic briar material.
  Yello-Bole developed it because they were trying to conserve briar material.
  In the early 70s, they said it was as strong as ceramic.
  And while it holds up very well, it heats up quickly and can burn your hand, if not careful.
  They are still offered by Yello-Bole and Medico and are considerably inexpensive.
