An out of compliance ticket can be expensive.0 -
I guess I've never had an issue with that. I work when I work. I go home when I'm done. I come back tomorrow. That's the extent of my "logs." I'm just the driver though. Boss says no logs, I hear that I have one less thing to worry about. We may also have some ag based back door through the system or something. I don't know.0

A lot of it also depended where you're driving. The Northeast is the worst with the traffic and all the road work.1

Ag truck don't have to have logs.
Plus if you are running ag, your drivers can have an ag license and that's a whole different regulation.
Even though we are DOT and have over-weight permits, we can still get over weight and out of compliance tickets and those are on the driver.
We have to roll across the scales like anyone else, even though we are considered exempt and we still have to follow the federal DOT rules. In Fumo Pax

I'm so glad I don't drive anymore. Used to get away with a lot more things back then. I even knew most of the local truck enforcement officers by first name....Had one guy pull me over almost every time he saw me just to BS.0 -

They are allowed other exemptions than over the road trucks too.
